What is pata?

Meaning butter in Te Reo Māori, Pata is a range of hemp seed spreads with flavour that you can pair with foods. Containing organic ingredients, Pata is stoneground and 100% made in New Zealand. You could use pata instead of tahini, put it on a cheeseboard or combine it with your pretty brunch or dinner plate. With the texture of whipped peanut butter, pata is nut free, vegan and keto friendly.

Pata, is a ground hemp butter or paste that’s often used in vegetarian dishes. Similar to tahini, pata can be used in Middle Eastern food staples such as hummus, falafel and dips. In addition to savoury dishes, pata also lends itself to sweets, particularly vegan recipes to bring a dairy-free creamy component to anchor party appetisers such as a vegan cheddar wheel or keep vegan desserts moist and flavourful, as with vegan chocolate lava cakes.
